Jenneba was born in 2013 in the region of Lofa (Liberia). Her parents are smallholder farmers. The family lives in a house made from bamboo and clay; the roof is made from metal and the floor is bare soil. Jenneba is currently visiting a pre-school.

Xinzhi was born in 2009 in the province of Shaanxi (China). She lives with her family including her grandmother in a house of concrete. She visits a close by elementary school.

Bladimir was born in 2014 in the area of Azua (Dominican Republic), one of the poorest provinces of the country. He lives with his family in a house made from concrete with a metal roof. Bladimir visits an elementary school and his favourite subject is colouring.
